The small town of Sălașuri, located 2.5 km from Bordoșiu, among the hills of Târnava Mici, has been documented since 1567. It is known that it had its own church since the 18th century because in 1747 the inhabitants insisted that the priest from Vețca hold services at them at least once a year.
