Probably the first Catholic parish was built of wood and covered with shingles because it was burned by the fire of 1851. In 1857 a new building was erected, which has in front a Szekler gate from 1858, the oldest Szekler gate in the town. In 1900 the terrace was demolished, in its walls was found the Gothic ark which is now in the church.
The Catholic school was built in 1882. The abolition of church schools in 1948 also transformed this school into a state school. After finishing the new school, this building was neglected, gradually deteriorating. After the restitution, the Catholic church renovated the building, which has a large hall, which can be used both as a gym and for other activities.
