Map of Zetea: Szekler gates

In Zetea of yesteryear were 430 Szekler gates, of the remaining 130 who remained at their original place. Some were taken from the village, but because of the many fires many were destroyed. Six were taken and displayed in various areas of the village.
Two are in Miercurea Ciuc Szekler Museum and one in the Museum of Székelyudvarhely Haáz Rezső. Several local gates were made at the end of the eighteenth century. Among the reasons we can identify carved tulip, branches, leaves, berries, flowers and stars.
From the gate inscriptions we can find the year achieve and renewal. On most did not last craftsman's name. The oldest gate can we see at the number 53. It was made the village clerk, in 1862. The owners care for these gates, shingle changes periodically, the gate is anointed in oil, because these gates are the wealth of the village.
