This house in Gherta Mica was born in 1887 Markovits Rodion. In World War I was taken prisoner in Russia, and after his release in 1922 he returned to Satu Mare, where he worked as a lawyer and journalist. Five years later, he wrote a book about the years of detention: the Siberian garrison, with which he became famous, the book being translated into 14 languages. After the success in Budapest, the book was received with hostility in Satu Mare, which led him to take refuge in gambling, losing all his fortune. After the Second World War and until his death (1948) he worked as a journalist in Timisoara
