Reformed church built Roman Catholic in the 15th century. is located in the center of Halmeu. In the 17th century. after the religious reform has become reformed. He suffered much because of fires, but was rebuilt every time. Initially, only the ship was built.
The first tower was erected in 1798. Since it was not sufficiently damp, in 1852 it was demolished by a storm. The new stone tower was built between 1858-1863, during which the sacristy was also demolished. The organ was built in 1901 by Kerékgyártó István.
The church ship has a curved vaulted ceiling that ends in decorated consoles. Instead of a console there is a grotesque figure of a man. His tongue has already disappeared. In the crypt below the church was buried Szegedi Erzsébet with his seven sons.
Thus was the memory of the person who reconstructed the church destroyed by the invasion of the Tartars in 1717.
