Map of Handalu Ilbei
In the Ilbei valley there have been copper mines, lead and gold since ancient times. In 1848 the mines were sold by the mining treasury, since then the activity is stopped. Handalu mining town Ilbei certified in 1490, was owned by families Rakoczy, Károlyi and Telki. In 1717 it was destroyed by the Tartars. Handalu Ilbei also had andesite and sienite.
