Map of Livada

The Livada is a documented locality from 1270. Once there were two localities, Sárköz and Újlak, separated by the Racta brook. On a shore lived 16 landlords, and on the other bank only the Vécsey. It settled here in 1507, building a castle, which is now in the middle of the central park. In addition to the brick and alcohol factories, he also built the majority of public buildings in the locality. Most of the other 16 manor houses only exist, only three survived the period after nationalization.
