Map of Turulung
Turulung is a locality attested since 1216. The settlement was almost deserted after the invasion of the Tatars in 1241, but later it was inhabited because ruse, Greek-Catholic and Roman Catholic families settled here. Turulung had several landowners, of which the most important was the Perényi family, which became the owner of the 15th century settlement.
