Map of Ghenci: The lake
In 1967 the draining and sewerage of the large swampy area of Ier started. Even the smallest lakes were drained. We can see bodies of water only here and there. Ghenci locality is proud with two places like these.
One is right at the end of the village if we come from Zalău. On a surface of 15.000 square meters the City hall arranged a fishing lake. Beyond this set up the natural lake spreads. There is a lake in the centre of the locality, right beside the national road.
