Map of Săcăşeni: Reformed church

The reformed church was built in 1757 and 1760. This piece of information can be seen on the donation board fixed on the church's wall. From the text we find out that it was built by Bölöni Sándor and his wife Török Krisztína with the aproval of Maria Terezia and for reformed christians.
The other board was made in the memory of their little daughter Zsuzsánna dead at the age of 8 and a half years old burried in the crypt underneath the church. In 1895 the crypt's door was built. In the church is being kept a big bell made in XV century.
It is the former bell from a Franciscan church placed in the reformed church tower. In 1916 it was removed and transported at the foundry from Cluj. But there, discovering the value of this bell was sent back. On the way to Săcășeni the bell cracked. The nave's ceiling is covered with cassettes made in 1760, which in 1991 were repainted. Fortunately the chorus front sides and the benches, the pulpit crown and the priest's chair backrest were kept in their initialy shape. The church's tower and the secondary nave were built in XIX century.
