The first documentary certification of the Buciumi village is since 1491 but the village's territory and the zone too are filled with a tower and a roman camp's ruins.. The forests, pastures, wood processing, carpentries, joineries and distilleries assured the income sources for locality inhabitants. Bucium has approximately 350 hectares of orchards. Through locality's territory more streams are passing, one of them, Mihăiești, has a beautiful waterfall.
