Map of Dragu: Wesselényi-Bethlen castle

Dragu locality is proud with an old building. Once it was a fortified stronghold and among their past lords are The Drágs. Its present look is thanks to Wesselényi Ferenc baron, who in 1810 transformed it into a castle, a U shape building. On the two wings another level was built.
The inside yard's elegance thus made was built on the central section's pillars which denotes Greek influences. On one of the walls the Bethlens emblem can be seen. After nationalization it was CAP headquarters, many rooms became homes, but no repair works were made. For a period in the right wing functioned the community home. The castle was in a deplorable state when it was retrogressed to the Bethlens successors.
