Map of Boghiş

Boghiș locality was built on the place of an old oak forest. Its first certification dates since 1214 but in 1533 was allready the most populated locality from Barcau valey. In 1663 it was robbed by the Turkish and Tartars and then by Kurucs and Lobonts, thus its neighbour localities repopulation was necessary.
