Map of Boghiş: Banffy castle
In XVII century in the castle's place from Boghiș there was a mansion, the Bánffyl castle which was built in 1719 as results from an inscription located on a roof's beam. Together with others Banffy properties the castle was sold for many times or gambled away.
The last landlord of the castle from Boghiș was the landlord Ketheli István witch came here in XX century. First he was only tenant and then he bought the property which he has sold in 1925 when he refuged.himself. Nowadays the beautiful building offers the place to a nursing home.
