The reformed church from Vârșolț was probably built on the place of a Franciscan chapel subsequently transformed into a church. Because of the permanent threatness of the rebels the inhabitants had to leave the village. After their followers returned, they built a church in 1723 which was damaged by fire in 1774. In 1779 the chorus was built, in 1817 nave is enlarged and in 1855 a tower with the height of 25 m was built in which were placed two bells, the old one made in 1658. Up until 1969 the church had casetted ceiling but it was replaced by a concrete one. The organ was built in 1833 by Johannes Kremmer.
