Map of Beliş
The Belis locality of today was established in 1973 when the construction of the lake Fantanele began. The population of Beliș and Giurcuța de Jos was moved from the valley on the hills, on the left bank of Someșul Cald. There is only one old building in Beliș, the wooden church, moved here from the old village.
