Jofi cave was discovered in 1984, during the dig of a bauxite exploitation gallery.
The mining gallery thwarted the karst cavity at the level of its vaults, from where a plumb of 7 m descends. From here the galleries offer many surprises: a flow of water which disappears and then shows up, waterfalls, lakes with ducts and real stalactite forests. The main flow has a series of affluents, on both the right and left side.
In the median area there is a gallery of 42 x 15 m, with a funnel. The density of the stalagmitic formations here and there is so high, that it cramps the advance and generates siphons.
