The Rotonda Chapel was built at the end of the 11th century, during King Ladislau I (1077-1095). The archaeological excavations have proven that the first tombs around the place date back to that period. They were scattered about. 200 graves, of which 1000 years old. The children were buried inside the Rotonda. The chapel with a circular plan and shingle roof has thick walls of Roman brick obtained from the demolition of the existing building on this foundation, and river stone. The diameter of the church ship is 5.5 m, and the total length of the ship and apse, 7.50 m.
At the end of the Second Crusade, during the withdrawal of the Knights of Jerusalem, some Temple Knights, on their way to the West, left here. This fact is confirmed by the bell dating from that period, on which several temple crosses are applied, as well as the two papal keys. The following legend is connected to the chapel: on the day of Saint John of Jerusalem, a ray of sun passing through the two round windows, placed asymmetrically and illuminating a place where the Knights Templar hid a treasure.
Initially, it was a Catholic church that was used as a chapel by the noble families in the area. Since the 17th century it belonged to the Reformed Church, but the Communists transformed it into a social dwelling. It is currently used by the Reformed Church for cultural activities.
