Map of Făgăraş mountains: Waterfalls in the Scara valley
The beautiful and lesser known valley Izvorul Scării has its origin under the Scării saddle. The big waterfall, named Pisatoarea sum total drop of approx. 200 m. The Great Cascade, called the Local Pistol, has a continuous fall of 50 m. One of the waterfalls is just below the Scara. Cascades can be accessed from the route:
