Moldoveanu Peak is located in the middle of the Fagaras mountains, 421 m from the tip Viștea Mare located on the main ridge. With its altitude of 2,544 meters, it is the highest peak in Romania. In fine weather offers visitors exceptional landscapes.
Moldoveanu Peak is surrounded by peaks that exceed 4000m. At the apopiat neighbor Viștea Maret leads a narrow edge. Moldoveanu peak is accessible on the hiking trails:
