The protected hydrogeological area includes mineral rains and springs. The thickness of the peat bed reaches some 4m, the average thickness being 1.5m and is impregnated with the mineral springs water. Plants are characteristic of areas with peat bogs, on the edge of the peat we find shrubs, and trees, ash and oak. Mineral springs have been known and used for skin diseases since the eighteenth century. The spring of Sarolta is beautifully arranged, as well as the one near the road, Izvorul Mare, also known as the spring with oil. A swimming pool was built near the turf, a Mineral Water Museum was built and arranged, but it is worth visiting the Secu Gates and the grave of Orbán Balázs.
