In autumn 1870, the Order of the Minister of Religion and Education, József Eötvös, the Hungarian royal high school opens. With no building, classes were held in the halls of City Hall and the Franciscan monastery. School offered to build the city ruined city. The works were started in 1880. Several bastions and interior construction were demolished or transformed. Then came the current aspect of the Citadel attacked by Secui.
In the spring of 1889, the works began, following architect Meixner Károly's projects in Budapest. The gym was raised, and between 1890 and 1891 the school with 56 classes. During the World Wars it was used as a barracks. After World War I became a Romanian school.
It worked here orphanage, elementary school, then high school Ștefan Octavian Iosif. Since 1948 he has become an agricultural school. The building has retained its original function to this day. In 1998 he changed his name to Eötvös József, and Eötvös statue was unveiled in front of the school. In 2009, after the abolition of professional schools, it was transformed into an industrial high school.
