The Apa cave is in the right side of the Les valley. Its creation is due to the sour plateau`s sinkhole. The entrance of the cave is 10-12 meter above the valley, at the foot of a rock wall. At its entrance we can find a lake, being almost always there, which depth reaches the 1,5 m. In case of heavy downpours, a streamlet comes out of the cave. In the underground hole both the streamlet and the channel is winding. A bit inner, the channel starts to be linear, as well as rising, and there are no river drifts. After a whole and a half-siphon there comes a channel filled with creatures.
In the continuous part we can find a newer siphon and the end of the cave. Professionals proved that there is a drener between the Firez spring and the Apa de la V. Lesului cave.
