Map of Retezat mountains: Peleaga glade
The Pelegii Glade (1633m), located 31 km from Gura Zlata, is an ideal place to camp and start towards Retezat's peaks. It can come almost to the glade by car, only to be out of the rain. Parking is at 5 minutes away from the tents area. In the clearing there is a spring and a hut for the rescue. It is good to know, because Retezat is not a signal only in Curmătura Bucurei.
