Map of Sighişoara: Cloister Church

Church Monastery is located near the Clock Tower and belonged to the Dominican monastery built in the thirteenth century and demolished in the late nineteenth century . In its place was built the Municipal Council . From the monastery is only conserves a corridor on the north side . The current form of the church dates from 1677 . Abode , built in Gothic style has three naves of equal height . Church size reached 44.5 m long and 12.6 m wide.
Inside it houses a bronze baptismal font from 1440, made by master James, and a door frame , carved in 1570 by stonemason Thomas . Baroque altar and organ were carved and painted by Johann Jeremias West Stranovius . The organ is still used today in many concerts .
The interior paintings were banned after the adoption of the Reformation. So abode was adorned with pews and balconies decorated with carvings and rich oriental rugs . 35 also valuable carpets in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries artistic heritage and beauty form the Evangelical Church
