Map of Sighişoara: Rope Tower
Rope Tower, a contemporary of the first walls of the city, destroyed by the Tartar invasion (1241), and rebuilt in 1350, was repaired in the sixteenth century. It is one of the few towers untouched by fire in 1676.
Rope Tower is one of the nine residential towers preserved. Today is the guard house church cemetery. In front of the tower have a beautiful view of the city below.
