Hartă Platoul Runcuri: Peştera Ciur Ponor

Peștera Ciur Ponor face parte din cel mai fascinant sistem carstic din Munții Apuseni. Pârâul Tinoasa, ce izvorăște din dealul Tinoasa este înghițit de Ponorul Tinoasa, străbate Peștera Ciur- Izbuc, după ieșirea din peșteră primește pârâul Ciurului și pătrunde în Peștera Ciur-Ponor. După un parcurs subteran de 15 km iese la suprafață prin Izbucul Topliței de Roșia. Scafandrii în 1983-1984 au depășit 8 sifoane, realizând joncțiunea cu Peștera Toplița, au ajuns la o lungime totală a sistemului de 14.9 km.
Din această lungime pe 7700 m este un curs subteran activ. Exploatarea peșterii este strâns legată de regretatul speolog-scafandru Halasi Gábor. Ciur Ponor se caracterizează printr-o mare varietate a formelor caracteristice.
