György, the first member of the Simény or Simén family from Sárd settled in the locality, married Baroness Rauber Mária. Famous personalities such as the poet Petőfi Sándor, who visited the mansion the day before he died, or the novelist Jókai Mór, who describes in detail the splendor of the mansion, lived in the mansion they built around 1740. The last owner was Sárdi György, a doctor at the Aiud prison. After the nationalization in 1945, the mansion became a house of culture.
The condition of the mansion deteriorated continuously. When it was returned, the owners found it half ruined and so they decided to sell it in 1997. The new owner strengthened the walls of the mansion, added another floor and extended it. The huge cellars that stretch under the building have become a patinated wine cellar waiting for its guests for a tasting.
