About town hall Gilt Medieșu very few know that was once the family home of a family of Hebrew, Edward Grosz. His name appears on the list of landowners from the early nineteenth century.
Then came the war and the family was deported. Those who survived went abroad and changed their name. It may have happened that one of Horstein's heirs, changing their name to Haraszti, was not passed into the land book.
Thus the old castle, well preserved until today and barn floors await elucidation history. Until then, the mayor's office operates in the building.
