Map of Aleşd: Reformed church

The old church of the village was built on the shores of Cris. When the locality moved to the current location, around 1701, a smaller church was built. The reformed new church was built between 1789 and 96. In 1840 there was an earthquake in the locality.
In the earthquake of 1853 the roof of the church collapsed. In 1854, a new tower of 24 meters was erected and due to repeated repairs in 1904-06, the church ship was rebuilt. The craftsmen of the constructor Létai András demolished the walls to the foundation, and from there they rebuilt the ship. The organ was made in 1907 in Országh Antal's workshops.
