Our marker moves on the right side of the valley. Soon we meet the Ferăstrăul brook, a tributary that comes from the right and forms a beautiful waterfall, approx. 40 m, called Rachorele or Ferăstrău waterfall. The trail here climbs slightly but sustained in the SV direction, on a spur, separating two valley. We continue climbing slightly in the west direction. After passing through a short, 20-m-long passage called La cheie, where there are some safety cables, we reach the first terrace of the Răcorele. Here we meet 2 lakes named Topila Baronesei (2200 m). Our trail continues uphill with a slight deviation to the left, bypassing the bottom of the Racorele bathtub, coming out in the Racorle saddle where we meet the mark:
