Map of Miercurea Ciuc: Ice-Rink

Csíkszereda is the home of winter-sports. Its ice-hockey team is famous all over the world and the "Vákár Lajos" ice-rink became a simbol of the town. The permanent functioning sport-institution is a really visited place. Here were organized several world championships as well. The grandstand has almost 2.000 seats. The group of statues in front of the ice-rink is the creation of sculptural artist Tőrös Gábor. Behind the building there is an olimpic size speed-skating run. It is for the time open-air and it functiones only in winter.
