Map of Miercurea Ciuc: The Seat of The Szekler Border-Warden Regiment
The building, built in 1786, was the seat of the first Seky border guards until the beginning of the 19th century. After the formation of Ciuc county, in 1887 the court of Șumuleu is moved here, being separated from the public administration.
Between 1904 and 1921 the building operates a furniture factory and then converted into housing, and 1942 becomes maternity, when building a new wing, funded by the Association of Private Goods Ciuc. It is now the headquarters of ENT department of the county hospital.
