The red band marked route starts at the base of the ski slope and enters the spruce forest. We advance in the Stevia valley, in the first phase we overlap the Curioșilor Route, but we also leave it in a little while. We walk past the ruins of Stevia refuge, and we reach Condor refuge.
From here you can see ridge of Lolaia (on the left) and Valereasca (on the right), where our climb continues through a spruce and juniper area and then through juniper and grotesque. After a steady climb, we reach a terrace and we can go to Ștevia lake, just below the Retezat peak. We return on the marked route and follow an uphill to the summit of Lolaia. On Lolaia we meet with
From here we continue the steep uphill to Retezat peak, but it's worth the fatigue! On the top we meet several markings
