The current reformed church of Salonta is the third. The first one was situated in the Toldi family fortress, the second one in the courtyard of the Miko school, and the present in the city center, built between 1750-1755. It has a capacity of 3000 people. It was burned several times.
In the fire of 1847 fell from the tower the bell melted in half. It was rebuilt between 1853-54. In the 42m high tower there is a watch bought in 1860 Macedonian merchants. Next to the embedded entrance in the church wall there is an iron plate with barely legible figures that indicate the church level to the sea level. In the park around the church there is a statue park. On one side of the church you can see the statue of the poet Arany János and the busts of the city's personalities, and on the other side the prince Bocskai István and Kossuth Lajos.
