The Unitarian Church in Hoghiz was built in the fifteenth century. The enclosed stone wall, elongated ship, and massive tower was built by Catholics, but in the early seventeenth century, when the reformed religion gained ground, most Catholic believers and the church converted to unitarian religion. The organ was built in Budapest by the master Rieger Otto (1880-1920). Beyond the stone wall is the cemetery.
