Map of Hoghiz: Haller manor

Far from the two buildings, Haller is another old building, built by historians in the sixteenth century and modified in the eighteenth century. There is nothing about the first owner of the building, probably the Haller family, but it is known that in the middle of the nineteenth century Gutenau Károly (1836-1907) quit the job of a judge and started working on his estate, next to the mansion.
After being elected a deputy in the national assembly in 1885, the estate was taken over by Haller János grove, and in 1892 the couple Valenta Gustav and Schip Olga were sold. From them, in 1906, they were the property of the 46 families that associated themselves, including the Jews Mózes Károly and Jakab, owners of spirits. Subsequent sales and carelessness of the new owners have led to the deterioration of the building. Only a small part is renovated, a chapel, which has a privileged situation. In the sale-purchase contract, the Haller family had stipulated that, until there were believers, the chapel could not be the subject of a sale-purchase contract.
