The richly decorated eclectic style Baroque palace, so called Bányai House was built by Bányai Béla butcher-master between 1904-1907 after the plans of architect Nagy Győző. On the first floor of the building lived between 1936-37 mayor Bernády György and in its yard was the famous Édeslyuk restaurant.
