Map of Târgu Mureş: Köpeczi-Teleki House
This is the oldest storied building of Targu Mures. It was built by Köpeczi Nagy Tamás in 1554 who was a transylvanian exactor in the Izabellian-age. During the years here stabled several members of the dynasty and the sequential owners formed the building.
In 1808 the building got into the property of count Teleki József who collected his library here and he realized here the first museum of the city, natural and mineralogical collection, as well as his laboratory containing physics apparatuses what later passed down to the Reformed Collage.
From 1848 here functioned the Genteel Casino and at masquerade here organized big balls. Currently, the building is the Grand cafeteria Bulgacov.
