The famous stud of The Wesselényis was kept and passed from father to son. The young Wesselényi Miklós went in England to learn about the horse-breeding and horse arrangements and afterwards he enlarged his stud with horses brought from Hortobágy. There is no wonder that near the castle from Jibou there is a menagerie. The building made in 1771 is not in a good state now but on the walls we can see the remains of an equestrian statue carved by Johannes Nachtigall, a partially plastered inscription and a blazon hardly visible on the end wall.
