Map of Oraviţa: The Roman Catholic parish

In 1693 was the parohy or the house built originally, and Luigi Ferdinando Marsili was here those times, and this way there is no exactitude in the year of construction anyway. It is known though that it was re-made in 1736 as a consequence of the austro-rurkish problems and battles, from 1738, 1740 and 1756 was it newly repaired. From 1793 till 2002 it stood as a place of the following institutions: general german school and latin school with 4 classes, museum of old books and pinacotheque, and the office of the chief executor of the town, and the technique school of health and other firms. In 2002 the Parohy got back its rights to this building and it also inherited all the problems that this building had.
