Inside the Muresanu house, the place that used to be the editorial room of the Gazeta Transilvaniei newspaper published in 1838, functions as the Muresenilor memorial house since 1968. This could happen on the basis of the donation letter from the Mureșianu family. In conformity with this Iacob Mureșianu's will was put into practice. Thus the Romanian state came into possession of the building for the museum, a rich furniture collection, paintings, statues and a 25000 piece document collection. The manuscripts of the Mureșianus are kept here as well as the letters written by those who worked for their newspaper. The documents related to the national anthem are also kept here, since, it was Andrei Mureșanu who has written it.
