Map of Baia Mare: Planetarium

The Baia Mare Planetarium was inaugurated on July 1, 1969, being the first Planetarium in Romania. In 1970 the building of the Astronomical Observatory was put into use. The institution was equipped with a projector ZKP - 1 (Carl - Zeiss Jena), a telescope and two telescopes, and was always open before all visitors who want to know the astral world.
With a modern projector, under the dome planetary organizes daily shows with the stars, where you can know and admire the constellations. The specialists provide information on the planetary system, celestial phenomena and technical means created by man, in the field of the Earth's atmosphere and in the cosmic space.
