Count Teleki Sándor de Sic (1821-1892) revolutionary colonel (1848-1849) spent the last part of his life in Baia Mare. In 1870 he bought two houses on the right bank of the Sarsar, which he converted into a single mansion.
From a description from 1894 I learned that there were eight tall fir trees in front of the buildings. Teleki apartment consists of a staff work room and bedroom, gathered many valuables. The spacious house mirrors the former master's concept today. On the carved gate you can also see the Telki monogram, the crown with nine arms. Teleki Sándor died in 1892 at Baia Mare.
After 1989, the reformed church managed to buy the house. House currently hosts Hungarian, Hungarian center of cultural and social life. In the courtyard you can see the Telki statue.
