The southern side of the former cemetery near St. Stephen's Church, the present park is currently closed by the former Jesuit church complex, monastery and school. The church was built between 1717 and 1720, and until 1773 it belonged to the Jesuits, who arrived at Baia Mare in 1674, and built this church, with the support of Bishop Matyasovszki László in place of the Holy Martyr church.
In gratitude, the west wall of the school was erected a plaque with the emblem and probably the portrait of Bishop. The construction was made on the basis of Christoph Tausch's plans. The façade niches were placed wooden statues of saints and the entrance is decorated with deep red pillars and a plate with Latin inscription, which sees 1718 towers have helmet-shaped bulb. Underneath the intricate ship, with six layers, lies a crypt. The ceiling of the ship and the sanctuary is ribbed.
Stained glass windows were made in Budapest and mirror moments from the lives of six saints, and bible scenes. The altar was made in 1824-1825 by the sculptor Schaintzer Fülöp. The interior paintings were made by Mezey József and Kiss Károly.
The organ was built in 1939 in the Angster workshops in Pécs, and in 1998 the heir to the Attila Budavári workshop refurbished it. Since then, lovers of cult music have been able to enjoy several concerts held by renowned organists, who arrived at Baia Mare.
