In 1547 at the end of Szappany Street was built the homonymous bastion, as known today by the Cluj people: The Firefighters Tower. This area of the city being the most exposed to fire, since 1583 have established here permanent fire safety. In the early 1870s it was also raised with a high floor, and at the top of the tower they set up a bell cabin for fire signaling. On the tower there was an inscription Fortior est qui quam quis fortissima moenia vincit, that is, He who overcomes himself is stronger than the one who overcomes the strongest walls. The Tower being defended by the Weasel Guild was named the Weavers Tower. In 1990 it was restored, covered with glass roof and arranged inside the Fire Museum.
